Differences Between Manga and TV

I've only gotten so far with the Manga because I'm reading the Viz comics version.

Here's what I've noticed:

In the beginning of the TV series we find Rei, all bandaged up and we find out later it's because Unit-00 went berzerk and she got hurt in the process....Well in the Manga it was because she was fighting Sachiel (3rd Angel). We see Misato and Shinji driving along and all of a sudden the Angel steps by, then BOOM, Unit-01 tackles the Angel. We find out that Rei was the pilot and in that battle she got all messed up.
Shinji finds out that his mother is in Eva Unit-01 WAY EARLY. In his first battle with an Angel (Sachiel) where he gets plummeled into the building, right before Unit-01 goes berzerk, he goes through one of his weird trips and discovers his mother in there...kinda of freaky though what happens to her...you have to read it....I think it may be even better than the TV series.

Well that's all I have for now....only a couple of issues are out and they go by quick...maybe I should wait for the graphic novel.
